Curtain Call: The Hits. Released December 6, 2005. Curtain Call: The Hits Tracklist. 1. Intro (Curtain Call) Lyrics. About Curtain Call: The Hits. A collection of Eminem’s greatest hits from 1999 – 2004, as well as 3 new songs. This compilation album closed a chapter for Eminem, who went on a musical hiatus not long after it was released. The album also broke a record for the longest charting rap album, charting for over 350 weeks. Curtain Call: The Hits Q&A.
If Eminem's Curtain Call: The Hits really is his final bow and not merely a clever denouement to his series of Eminem Show and Encore albums, it's a worthy way to retire. And even if he stages a comeback years from now, there's little question that the first five years of his career, spanning four albums plus a soundtrack, will be his popular and creative peak, meaning that the time is right for Curtain Call - it has all the songs upon which his legend lies. Which isn't necessarily the same things as all the hits

The songs Curtain Call culls from that album are fine, but had little to do with the outrage he caught from parents, GLAAD, and the conservative right. The Real Slim Shady" made him profitable; songs like "Kim" and "Kill You" made him interesting. Stan", however, still stands out as an exception. Third album The Eminem Show is repped here by two songs: "Without Me", and the underrated "Cleanin' Out My Closet", which contributed as much to the confusing Freudian glints in Em's persona as anything else he's done. Which leaves the compilation's four new throw-ins: the Nate Dogg collaboration "Shake That", the ridiculously inane "FACK", and new single "When I'm Gone" are all desolate placeholders- lesser versions of Eminem songs that already piss me off.
However, taking a look at his recent greatest hits album Curtain Call: The Hits, its difficult to not see why he became the monster presence he is today. Eminem includes: Slim Shady-Vocals Marshall Mathers-Vocals Eminem-Vocals. After a little intro, we are introduced to the first new cut on the album, FACK. The best way to describe this song would be to give a little word count of a few, select words. Which isn't necessarily the same things as all the hits. And that means Curtain Call isn't just a good way to bow out, but it's a great greatest-hits album by any measure. Stephen Thomas Erlewine.
Curtain Call - The Hits . .has been added to your Cart. Eminem's four studio albums shattered so many sales records that you might think just about every man, woman and gerbil on the planet already owns a bulk of the songs that make up this greatest hits collection. But Curtain Call presents the perfect opportunity to have another look at the life of Marshall Mathers. Starting out in the vein of the Beastie Boys and Slick Rick, he grafted filthy verses over bubbly nursery rhyme melodies and primitive Casio beats to come up with comical singles like "My Name Is" and "Real Slim Shady.
