I'm Real is the 54th studio album by American musician James Brown. The album was released in 1988 on Scotti Bros. All of the tracks were produced, written and arranged by Full Force, with the exception of "I'm Real" (co-written by Full Force and Brown) and "It's Your Money $" (written and produced solely by Brown). All tracks composed by James Brown and Full Force; except where indicated. James Brown - lead vocals.

A couple of years after Brown's return to the pop Top Ten with "Living in America," he decided to take a further shot at updating his sound with the help of the production team of Full Force. Of course, since it's James Brown, some of the material is still worth hearing, but it's also clear why his comeback fizzled so quickly
