Ariana Tikao is an award winning Maori musician, composer and singer songwriter. She has 3 solo albums, Whaea (2002), Tuia (2008) a collaboration with electronic music pioneer Leyton (Epsilon Blue) and From Dust to Light (2012). Ariana collaborated with Louise Potiki Bryant to produce the Tuia music video which won best music video at the imagiNATIVE film + media festival in 2009, in Toronto. She is been mentored by the legendary Richard Nunns and plays taonga puoro (Maori instruments) and has played with the APO, and CSO. Show more.

From the opening acapella waiata where Araiana’s voice rung true and was the compelling start from whence the stage was set for an exquisite concert, and we were not disappointed. Ariana was on our stage straight from the Silver Scroll Awards in Dunedin where she was an invitation guest performer at this event.
