Number Ones is a greatest hits album by American singer Michael Jackson. It was released on November 18, 2003 by Epic Records. Number Ones was Jackson's first proper compilation album with Epic Records, after the release of the first disc of HIStory in 1995 (and after the re-release of that disc as a single album titled Greatest Hits: HIStory, Volume I in 2001). The album included Jackson singles that reportedly reached number 1 in charts around the world.

Number Ones is a greatest hits album by American singer Michael Jackson. Number Ones was Jackson's first proper compilation album with Epic Records, after the release of the first disc of HIStory in 1995. The album also features the last original single released during Jackson's lifetime, "One More Chance", released on November 20, 2003. Number Ones was successful around the world, originally reaching number 1 in the UK among. However, as a 'catalog' title, initially Number Ones was excluded from the Billboard 200 denying Jackson a seventh solo No. 1 album on the chart.

This second collection, Number Ones, was released in the wake of the 2000 blockbuster Beatles 1, which rewrote the rules of modern-day hits collections from major artists, since it not only contained a generous, representative cross section of hits, it had a specific focus and did gangbuster business. An avalanche of similar-minded compilations by other titans followed, notably Elvis' 30 Hits and the Rolling Stones' Forty Licks, and MJ's Number Ones is part of that wave.

Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough. Rock With You. Billie Jean. I Just Can't Stop Loving You.

from Bad (1987) until his last hit which was 'You Rock My World' (Invincible, 2001). There are only two songs from his first major studio album, and in my opinion, one of his strongest in terms of lyrics, general sound and production. I'm, of course, referring to Off the Wall. If the set had included at least 'She's Out of My Life', it would've been far more enjoyable.
