Alice in Wonderland is a Disney media franchise, commencing in 1951 with the theatrical release of the animated film Alice in Wonderland. The film is an adaptation of the books by Lewis Carroll, which featured his character Alice. A live-action film directed by Tim Burton was released in 2010.

This Alice In Wonderland Soundtrack CD is wonderful. With continuous music and songs from start to finish, including sound effects and select dialogue from the movie. No narration, just a genius mixing of elements from all the isolated tracks that someone was careful enough to keep since the master tapes were originally recorded.

I was a little worried when I went to watch the film version of Alice In Wonderland, because I just read the novel and Disney has a tendency to dumb down the material that they make into their films with goofball romantic nonsense and cutesy talking animals.

Alice in Wonderland is a 1951 American animated musical fantasy-adventure film produced by Walt Disney Productions and based on the Alice books by Lewis Carroll. The 13th of Disney's animated features, the film premiered in New York City and London on July 26, 1951. Through various drafts of the script, many sequences that were present in Caroll's book drifted in and out of the story One omitted scene from the 1939 treatment of the film occurred outside the Duchess' manor, where The Fish Footman is giving a message to The Frog Footman to take to the Duchess saying that she is invited to play croquet with The Queen of Hearts.

John Tenniel illustrated Alice Adventures in Wonderland (1865) for a fee of £138, which was roughly a fourth of what Carroll earned each year and which he paid for himself. Tenniel was an already successful, well-known lead illustrator for the satirical magazine Punch, when Carroll employed him as an illustrator in April 1864. Alice, as she appears in Walt Disney's film adaptation (1951).
